Comments: first shots using the focal reducer at f/3 and f/3.3, the infrared image at the right
shows the many stars hidden in the dense nebula. M43 is at the lower left of the picture.
Left exposure: 1 min (1 x 60sec), broadband filter
Right exposure: 6 mins (6 x 60secs), IR filter

Comments: Trapezium stars (group of 4) can be seen in this blue filter image, they emit intense ultraviolet
radiation exciting the hydrogen gas in the nebula. Right image was false colorized to highlight
the hottest regions of the nebula.
Exposure: 2 mins (12 x 10secs), blue and IR exclusion filter
