CCD Imaging at the Hill Observatory

Comet Hyautake in March 1996 was the first comet I'd ever
seen and tried to photograph. The limitations of 35mm film
in a light polluted suburban sky convinced me to build the
Cookbook 245 CCD camera to peer into the night sky for a
clearer picture into the wonders of the vast universe.

Comet Hale-Bopp really caught my interests in astronomy and
astrophotography. I spent a lot of time tracking and imaging
the comet from 1996 to 1997.

Deep-sky imaging is a challenge, but also very rewarding.
My journey into the wonders of the universe has just begun...
I'll never get to see everything I want to see, or see it with
as much detail as I'd like to, but my mega-pixel CCD camera
gets me much closer.

This website will be an archive of the deep-sky objects seen
from my backyard, south of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex.
